Overview

Na Ali'i is looking for a Labor & Leave Specialist to be responsible for working with the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountants to provide day-to-day support in processing timesheets, leave, and labor. This resource will help identify and resolve labor and timesheet issues as well as escalate labor processing issues and concerns to upper management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time and Expense and be a strong problem solver.

Responsibilities

This position requires an experienced management and administrative professional to provide security program support. The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities as required.

    Processing semi-monthly and weekly regular timesheets and timesheet corrections.
  • Exporting timesheets from Deltek T&E to Costpoint.
  • Processing semi-monthly and weekly leave accruals and corrections.
  • Setting up and maintaining new employee system access and employee records for timekeeping access and payroll processing.
  • Working with HR team to ensure employee records are consistent with HR records.
  • Assisting employees, project managers, and timesheet approvers with timesheet corrections.
  • Assisting with audits.
  • Calculating retroactive corrections for pay adjustments.
  • Preparing PTO payouts for terminated or transitioning employees.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Word, Excel, Outlook, and on-line search engines required. Previous experience Deltek Costpoint Time & Expense required. Familiarity with government contracting and related HR requirements. Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards are preferred but not required.

Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline from an accredited institution as well as a minimum of two years of professional experience in an Accounting & Finance background. Experience in or work for the U.S. military is also highly desirable.

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use stairs without assistance
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder
