VTG is seeking a System Administrator in Pearl City, Hawaii.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include.

• Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
• Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations; handles related site-specific needs as required
• Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others; coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
• Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage of company email, conference bridge, cell phone setup, and standard PC utilization.
• Monitors and maintains network stability.
• Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups, and downtime to users.
• Maintains a current asset inventory and asset assignment information.
• Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services
• Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
• Provides a variety of technical and administrative systems support to users to include.
  • Servers/server backup
  • Desktop computers and laptops
  • Document centers and printers
  • Routers and switches
  • Firewalls, security updates, patches
  • iPhones/Smartphones

Required

-Secret Clearance

-IAT Level 1 certified (DoDI 8510.01)

-One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, and VTCs

Desired

-One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, according to Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
