Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem (weekends)

As aper diem non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician
at BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital West Jefferson in Marrero, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule:This position is scheduled to work 1-2 weekends per month (both Saturday & Sunday) from 8am to Noon.

About the Facility/Pharmacy:BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital West Jeffersonis a Long Term Acute Care facility that specializes in providing acute care to medically complex and critically ill patients who require longer hospital stays. Promoting recovery from the most critical and complex medical-surgical conditions, each hospital is led by a team of multidisciplinary staff of specialized physicians and experienced caregivers, including nurses, nutritionists, respiratory and rehabilitation therapists, and case managers.CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm, and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am-Noon and utilizes Omnicell dispensing cabinets.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
  • Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License OR current enrollment in Pharmacy school with a LA Pharmacy Intern License
  • PTCB Certification
  • IV certification is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer provingimmunity
  • Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • HepB3 Series(or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
