Planning and Operations Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a Plans and Operations Specialist, you'll support Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) operations, bringing in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of logistics missions, processes, and culture. You'll apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work without considerable direction, and work with team members. On the team, you'll manage planning initiatives at the TSC level and work towards synchronizing planning efforts across the TSC, Army Staff, Joint Staff, and operational units. You'll coordinate and synchronize within the organization, draft internal and external taskings, and write operation orders and relative activities as required.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of logistics experience serving as an Officer, Chief Warrant Officer, or Senior Non-commissioned Officer at the Brigade level or above
  • Experience with analyzing logistics policy and procedures compliant with higher headquarters and service guidance
  • Experience working in an Army Distribution Management Center (DMC), Support Operations Branch, or S4 at the Brigade level
  • Experience with developing sustainment plans
  • Experience with analyzing Army and Joint Doctrine and Training Policy
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to communicate and present at a general officer staff level
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience at the Brigade level or above
  • Experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Army Design Methodology (ADM), and Joint Planning Process (JPP)
  • Knowledge of theater and advanced joint planning to shape and deliver desired plans
  • Knowledge of USINDOPACOM policy and strategy and USINDOPACOM TCP/TCO, GCPs, CT EXORD, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and Theater Security Cooperation Plans, including linkages to parallel national interests
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of a Command and General Staff College (CGSC), Intermediate Level Education (ILE), or Battle Staff Course

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
