Contract Administrator

Overview:

American Electric is looking for a Contract Administrator to support construction project based on the Island of Oahu, reporting to the VP of the construction.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Preconstruction:
  • Complete requested prequalification forms
  • Requests necessary bid bonds
  • Attends Preconstruction to Construction turn over meeting.
  • Update/Maintain prequalification sites such as Avetta, ISN, or Textura
  • Maintain Construction Operations Folders

Construction:

  • Review and administer contract documents.
  • Route contracts with construction operations team.
  • Assist initial project start up with accounting department.
  • Create and administer Construction contract documents.
  • Obtain and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for construction projects.
  • Request and obtain all bid and performance/payment bonds.
  • Assist Construction Operations team with Project Contracts, budgets and change orders.
  • Update/Maintain all island construction folders.
Education and/or Experience/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
  • Ability and desire to learn and progress within your position.
  • Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
