Job Description

The Aesthetician performs all aesthetic services in a safe and professional manner to the guests. They also keep themselves updated with the latest trends and servicing protocols, all in an effort to provide uncompromising attention to the guest.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as an Ambassador for the spa representing the brand values for colleagues establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders representing the values of the brand and Accor. This includes maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Knowledgeable about all aspects of treatments, spa therapy and the facility.
  • Maintain ample inventory of necessary products to perform aesthetics and prepare kits, all in an orderly and neat fashion.
  • Report for appointments on time and thoroughly review appointments after completing each service.
  • Always maintain a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor with guests.
  • Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times.
  • Responsible for driving the guest experience and communication amongst the colleagues orchestrating a smooth guest sequence delivery.
  • Ensure guest preferences and special requests are accommodated to the best of the property's abilities.
  • Ensure the spa is receiving the highest ratings from the TrustYou VOG scores as well as LQA / guest satisfaction and is a priority at all times.
  • Deal with any guest complaints, comments or concerns with discretion and urgency.
  • Follow and ensure that all colleagues follow all safety procedures and practices of the property; lead by example.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction at all times by ensuring safety and service is always the spa's first priority.
  • Report dysfunctional equipment to management.
  • Report any potential hazards or emergencies so they can be rectified immediately.
  • Assure safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by fairly applying hotel regulations and strictly following existing laws
  • Maintain accurate records as required by hotel and government regulations
  • Assist with hiring, recognition and progressive corrective action for the therapists
  • Oversee scheduling as needed and conduct performance appraisals for the therapists
  • Efficiently train estheticians in all aspects of job tasks
  • Conduct Colleague training for pertinent emergency procedures, safety, accepted techniques or programs and proper use of equipment and products
  • Maintain current professional licenses and certifications

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Service focused personality is essential
  • Luxury resort or wellness experience is essential, ideally in Hawai'i.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
  • Experience and Education in Spa within a luxury resort setting.
  • Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in a Spa (Hawaii Beauty Operator License)
  • Additional certification(s) in a Spa will be an advantage (Hawaii Licensed Massage Therapist, First Aid, CPR, AED)

Direct service providers such as Aestheticians are entitled to earn "commissions."

  • Esthetician's are eligible to receive up to 36% "commissions" of the price paid and received by the Hotel for the service performed by the provider.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
