Job Description
The Puyenpa family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. We are actively seeking a Site Lead Employment Facilitator based in Honolulu, HI. This is a full time, onsite role.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting the DOLVETS/TAPS program assisting transitioning service members, and their families. The experience, and qualifications we seek for this role include:
  • A Demonstrated ability to provide formal DOL Employment Workshops and Career Technical Training to groups with up to 50 participants and individual career counseling.
  • Able to communicate effectively, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work well with TSM/Ss and staff.
  • At least 3 years Transition Assistance (TAP) training experience OR an Associate’s degree from accredited college/university and 5 years Transition Assistance (TAP) training experience or as a professional trainer or facilitator.
  • Previous experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector of employment process.
  • Previous experience as a classroom instructor
  • Experience providing TSMs (Active, Reserve, National Guard), family members, and Veterans a comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.
  • Proficient in MS Windows and Office
