JOB SUMMARY:
The Substance Abuse Counselor provides individual, group and family counseling, education and case management for assigned clients.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline, master's preferred; and/or at least one year of direct work experience in residential and/or outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Must be willing to work towards Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) credential. Personal vehicle and valid Hawaii State driver license required.COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

Able to meet basic standards of physical, mental health, and communication demands. Specified by State and/or professional accreditation standards applicable to this agency. Initial/Annual criminal background check, pre-employment, annual physical examination, CPR/first aid, TB test, and driver abstract compliance with agency policy are required
