Duties
Properly follow company safety procedures in the efficient operation of semi trucks and miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in and around the work area as per the supervisor's instructions.
Deliver construction materials to both industrial and residential areas.
Understand and follow delivery and shift schedules directed and scheduled by the dispatchers both verbally and in writing.
Work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Maintain assigned truck by keeping efficient working condition and cleanliness of equipment.
Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major repair problems to the supervisor.
Work effectively with others such as supervisors, employees, and the public.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Skills
Have previous truck driving experience, preferably semi.
Experience with 8-10 speed transmissions.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. occasionally during the day.
Good reading and writing skills.
Provide excellent customer service.
Manage an irregular work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Licensing & Certification
Current CDL class A with tanker endorsement.
Current medical examiner's certificate.
Good driving record.
