Job Description

Digital Ventures is now part of BCG X, home to the world's best tech-build and design talent.

We are an ever-growing global team of the world's most remarkable entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, venture architects, and product experts. Our ventures create a strategic advantage for the most important global companies.

Since our founding in 2014, we've partnered closely with 400+ clients - most of which are Fortune 500 organizations - to invent, launch, and scale innovative businesses that leverage and reinforce their core capabilities. The ventures we build with them are inclusive of both new, standalone companies, as well as those developed within the framework of the client organization. The growth and value realized through our corporate venturing work has even led clients to collaborate with us to build and launch multiple businesses.

Venture Architects at BCGDV

Our venture architects are world-class business leaders, corporate strategists, product specialists, and designers. They carry the tall order of defining the field of opportunity and scope of our ventures and must wear many hats to develop the marketing, pricing, and operational structures needed to commercialize new products and businesses. As project leaders, they manage ventures from beginning to end, and may even transition to running these new businesses in the market.

The 10-week internship program will allow interns to gain valuable experience to work on one of our current Ventures. This is a paid internship. You will receive $6,000 every two weeks for the duration of the program.

  • Plan and deliver new ventures, products and services
  • Identify required partners for regulatory requirements or support needs
  • Create intellectual property, points of view and industry/ topic platforms
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership across a range of emerging business, technology and design topics
  • Stand up the structure and operations for a new entity or business unit, including governance, revenue operations, back-end functions, org design and recruiting

You should have:

  • Active enrollment in a full-time MBA program from an accredited university
  • Abilities planning, prioritizing and organizing work effectively and efficiently within a team
  • 2-3 years of experience with strategy development, business planning and future visioning, as well as quantitative and economic modeling (preferred)
  • Background in product prototyping and testing
  • Bachelor's degree (business, psychology, economics, strategy or equivalent from a top-tier institution preferred)

Additional desired competencies:

  • Some experience in a high-pressure start-up environment with exposure to multidisciplinary teams (preferred) and/or experience with a top-tier professional services firm, technology firm or VC fund
